Ther"mal (?), a. [L. thermae hot springs, fr. Gr. , pl. of heat, fr. hot, warm, to warm, make hot; perhaps akin to L. formus warm, and E. forceps.] Of or pertaining to heat; warm; hot; as, the thermal unit; thermal waters.
